Hello painters! I'm Alai Ganuza
I am a full-time oil and digital painter and educator that focuses on enhancing color and brushwork to make expressive and lively artworks. I've studied physics and graduated in Fine Arts in the UPV-EHU, and I realised that Color Theory isn't taught anymore (or at least as much/deep as it used to be). I love to study light behaviour, and I believe Color Theory is a powerful tool that will help you step up your artworks. But we need the proper techniques to translate that into our medium of our choice, whether it is physical or digital.

MODULE 2. Digital vs. Traditional
Explore the key differences between traditional and digital painting. We'll bust common myths, talk about the pros that digital offers, and give you the confidence to choose (or combine) both approaches in your own work!
MODULE 3. Apps and Tools
I’ll introduce you to my favorite apps and tools with some extra mentions and examples. From setting up your canvas to all my secret techniques. This module is short but necessary if you're starting out with digital or any of these apps!
MODULE 4. Full Demos
Let's paint together in real time from the imprimatura to the final details. These demos show how I apply the concepts from previous modules and from color theory into a full digital painting. You’ll see my thought process, decision-making, and techniques in action.
MODULE 5. TraDigital Painting
In this module we paint for real. A bigger composition, more complex with many different items to explore, talk color, balance, materials, brushwork. A full painting guided in real time that put all the knowledge into practice.
MODULE 6. After-Painting
Why do we make digital? There are different purposes we can give to a digital painting. Here I’ll guide you through each process: exporting, color profiles, formats, and what apps to use to prepare the files.
